Royston's new mayor, Cllr Lisa Adams, attended a private preview at the gallery for her first official engagement, in her second day in the role.

She said: "Having been born in Royston I know that Curwens solicitors have supported artists with this non-profit community gallery for many years and it's very heart-warming to have this opportunity to support the community, what a wonderful honour."

Cllr Adams previously attended an exhibition at Curwens with former mayor Cllr Mary Antony, and was welcomed back by specialist family solicitor Zen Thompson, who facilitates the gallery.

The gallery is based at Curwens Solicitors, at 17 High Street. Anyone with sales enquiries relating to the art should contact gallery curator Diana on 07516 347739, as the Curwens solicitors are busy delivering legal services.

Any local artists interested in exhibiting are also invited to get in touch.
