An 18-year-old woman from Royston has pleaded guilty to stabbing her former friend in East Dulwich after an argument.

Princess Owusu-Ansah went to the victim's home on the Dog Kennel Hill Estate on February 2.

After being let in she tried to pour boiling water over the victim, who managed to cover herself with a duvet.

Owusu-Ansah then stabbed her in the leg, while filming the attack on her mobile phone.

The victim ran outside into the street to get help, and was later treated at Kings College Hospital for non-life threatening stab wounds.

Police were alerted by a member of the public, who had seen the video on Snapchat.

Owusu-Ansah pleaded guilty to grievous bodily harm and criminal damage at Inner London Crown Court and will be sentenced on May 9.

Claudette Hamilton, senior crown prosecutor with the CPS said: "Owusu-Ansah has pleaded guilty to stabbing her former friend.

"She turned up at the victim’s home and put her in absolute fear for her life.

"While this was happening, she gratuitously recorded the events on her mobile phone and posted this on social media.

"I hope that with these early guilty pleas and a sentence date fixed, the victim feels that we are well on the way to justice being delivered."
