IN some respect Sophie Ellis-Bextor has returned to her roots with this third album.

But we shouldn't complain.

She still remains Britain's pop princess even though she may be compared with the likes of Girls Aloud with a number of tracks on Trip the Light Fantastic.

Certainly, she deserves a revival in her career and she has put together an album that is worth more than a passing moment.

The tracks include the singles Catch You and Me and My Imagination, and there is certainly a wave of energy about Supersonic.

Perhaps it will not have the impact of her earlier albums, Shoot From the Hip and Read My Lips, but it shouldn't be ignored.
