A NEW generation of talent will be staging Victor Hugo's Les Miserables at the Cambridge Arts Theatre next month.

The story of ex-convict Jean Valjean in 19th century France will be brought to life by performers and musicians aged 14 to 19 years old, following completion of the theatre's summer course run by SNAP!CREATIVES.

In one of the most gripping musicals of all time, Valjean struggles to live through the injustice of the time while his adopted daughter, Cosette, falls in love with Marius, a brave young student on the road to self-discovery.

Passion, courage, love, justice and revolution will be intertwined and songs such as At The End Of The Day, On My Own, Do You Hear The People Sing and One More Day, will make this a must-see musical on September 3-4.

If you are an aspiring young performer or musician and would like to join the cast of Les Miserables call the theatre's education department on 01223 578927 or email Donna Young at dyoung@cambridgeartstheatre.com

The cost is £120 for performers and £60 for musicians.

Rehearsals will take place from August 20 to September 2 at the Perse School, Cambridge.

For tickets (£7.50 each) call the Cambridge Box Office on 01223 503333 or book online at www.cambridgeartstheatre.com
