Archant

He’s been a regular performer at the Baldock & Letchworth Blues, Folk & Roots Club over the years – but that doesn’t mean any appearance by world-renowned performer Tom McConville isn’t greeted with eager anticipation by fans who appreciate his peerless fiddle playing, singing – and wit.

Tom will be on stage again at Baldock’s Orange Tree pub next Wednesday, April 6, with tickets priced from £8 to £10.

A former BBC Folk Awards musician of the year, Tom’s interpretation of traditional and contemporary music and songs has won him a loyal global fanbase.

He’s in great demand as a performer, session musician and teacher, and playing the fiddle is his lifelong passion.

He has achieved every player’s dream of creating his own unique and instantly recognisable sound and live performances combine musical delights which range from fast and rhythmic dance tunes through to beautiful slow airs.

Following Tom on the club calendar is singer/songwriter Louse Jordan, who again is no stranger to the Baldock stage – she’s booked in for the session on Wednesday, April 13.

The club welcomes fans to the Norton Road pub from 8.30pm every Wednesday evening – you can book tickets for both gigs and find out what else is coming up in the months ahead by visiting the website at www.madnanny.co.uk.
