The timeless music of Fleetwood Mac makes a welcome return to the area on Saturday night.

Rumours Of Fleetwood Mac have long been established as the leading Mac tribute band, playing music from the Peter Green era right up to the latest material, with Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham.

RFM bring their highly professional show to the Alban Arena.

But don't expect it to be too much of a lookalike parade.

The band are first and foremost top musicians, and go for content over looks every time.

And their Fleetwood Mac sound is spot-on.

That's not surprising, given the wealth of talent and experience in the band.

Main vocalists Louise Rogan and Amanda Kostadinov sound uncannily like Stevie Nicks and Christine McVie, while Amanda also plays keyboards.

Powerhouse drummer Allan Cosgrove names Mick Fleetwood among his heroes, and describes his time with RFM as "a real blast".

It is said Dave Goldberg holds the concerts together with his superb keyboard playing. And he really comes into his own during the band's 'Peter Green era' set, with vocals and guitar.

Ian Robinson, another fine musician, made his mark as a drummer, but took to the bass like a duck to water, and plays John McVie's parts to perfection, including The Chain.

Lead guitarist and vocalist Alan Hughes has all the ability he needs to master the Lindsey Buckingham role in the band, and his excellent work is vital to the RFM sound.

The concert starts at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £17.50 and £15.50. Box office: 01727 844488.
