Father’s Day Medieval jousting returns to the Hertfordshire stately home on Sunday, June 18.

Dads are in for a real treat as the Knights of Arkley perform two 40-minute jousting battles in front of the historic mansion.

The turrets and towers of Knebworth House will provide a spectacular backdrop to the costumed knights on majestic horses galloping at full tilt across the arena in a fantastic display of horsemanship.

The knights will demonstrate their skills in hand-to-hand combat to the delight of the crowds who are encouraged to cheer, and jeer, their favourite knights.

There are two scheduled jousting displays, at 12.30pm and 2.30pm, subject to the weather.

The Green Dragon Bowmen Archery Club, which is based in Knebworth Park, is also offering have-a-go archery at £2 for six arrows.

Full instruction will be provided.

There is no additional charge to see the jousting as it is included in the Knebworth Park and Gardens admission ticket – £9.50 per person.

A 10 per cent online booking discount is available for this event, and entry is free for season ticket holders and children under three.
