EAST Anglia gets something of a hard time from some people, who say it is stark, barren, and even a bit depressing. But as this stunning collection of aerial photography demonstrates, there is more to the region than those smug types in The Lake District give it credit for.

From the Norfolk Broads to the beautiful country estates of Suffolk, and the architecture of Cambridge, this book documents the rich variation in the landscapes of the area. Many of the shots take as their subject buildings such as the colleges in Cambridge, the 19th century lighthouse at Southwold, and Ely Cathedral.
