The Tardis is back on our screens this week with a new Doctor behind the helm.

In the first of a new 13-part series, David Tennant takes over the baton with a revamped look.

Gone are the days of multi-coloured jackets and funny looking hats - this Timelord comes complete with designer glasses and pin striped suits.

After a quick reunion with trusty side-kick Rose, played by Billie Piper, the good doctor quickly embarks upon a new galactic mission and is soon back into full planet hopping swing by investigating a series of sinister events on the futuristic world of New Earth.
