Wunderbar is Eddie's last tour before he intends to sink his teeth into politics. He has offered to stand for election as an MP, MEP or for Mayor of London. He will fit in somewhere.

Perhaps the peak of his dog poetry was the line showing unconditional love, when an owner states: "You are not my dog" and the dog stubbornly responds: "You are the best owner I've ever had."

It's undoubtedly Phoenix's film. His slow transition from socially awkward loner into Rabble-rousing crime prince is utterly captivating and a performance that is already creating Oscar buzz ahead of awards season.

He recited a poem for Prince Charles (O, Charles!), who the poet said went through a "living hell" as a royal, but consoled him in absentia: "It could be worse, Charles… you could live in Reading".
