A major food festival is returning to Knebworth this summer with organisers promising more gastronomic treats than before.

The Great British Food Festival is back at Knebworth House over the weekend of Saturday, July 21 to Sunday, July 22.

The festival is set to be bigger and better this year, with even more food and drink stalls to tantalise the taste buds at the stunning Hertfordshire venue.

The line-up includes over 80 Best of British producers and scrumptious street food vendors, celebrity chef demos, artisan producer talks, foraging walks, kids’ cookery lessons, great live music, a ‘Cake Off’ competition and ‘Men v Food’ challenges.

It promises to be the perfect recipe for a fun, foodie day out for the whole family.

Festival director Dan Maycock said: “We’re thrilled to be back at Knebworth.

“It’s always a lovely event, with a great crowd, and we are really keen to push things on for 2018, hence we have more activities going on and a great line-up of chefs.”

Sandy Docherty and Howard Middleton will be two of the chefs demoing.

They will also be judging the popular ‘Cake Off’, where amateur bakers compete head-to-head in two baking categories – visit greatbritishfoodfestival.com for details and how to enter.

Sandy said: “I love doing the demos and the cake off is great fun, it’s brilliant to see what the public can do.”

The main chef demo area hosts great local and TV chefs.

All demos are free to enter, so everyone can pick up top foodie tips.

There are also regular artisan foodie talks, foraging walks and the ‘Masterglass’ drinks stage for you to get involved with.

The Great British Food Festival has attracted an array of fabulous producers showcasing the best in local, seasonal and speciality food and drink.

Organiser Dan said the festival is a great opportunity to get a real taste of the best of the local and Great British produce, with visitors able to sample, enjoy and take home to enjoy again.

With Great Britain’s amazing mix of cultures and cuisines, all tastes are catered for, so you can try Thai, Mexican, Spanish and Caribbean street food as well as pulled pork, prime steak and the best local burgers and sausages.
