In Unzipped she reveals her life from setting up a girl band, The Pleasure Seekers, in Detroit through to coming under the spell of producer Mickie Most who eventually unleashed on an unsuspecting public with Can the Can.
But this is not just a book about the pop business.
There are the personal moments: the birth of her two children and the break-up of a 20-year marriage.
And she's still rocking.
