Jazz singer, Tina May will be singing at Joanna’s Place in Saffron Walden on Saturday, January 19.

The event will be hosted by the impressario of the venue, the celebrated singer and songwriter, Joanna Eden.

Tina sang in Paris as a student at Cardiff University on her year abroad when studying French. She sang at at Le Slow Club with the Roger Guerin Big Band with special guest Kenny Clarke.

She was also in a comedy review with Rory Bremner who was already writing sketches and performing monologues and skits on politics. Together Tina and Rory performed You are Eiffel but I like You a review show which they took from Paris to the Edinburgh Fringe re-naming it Midnight Excess. Both went on to have dazzling careers.
