IT'S been a long haul, with many changes of line-up, but folk rock legends Fairport Convention are celebrating their 40th anniversary.
Five excellent musicians, including founding member, guitarist and lead vocalist Simon Nicol, they play the Cambridge Corn Exchange on February 16.
The other current members are bass guitarist and backing vocalist Dave Pegg, with the band since 1969, violinist Ric Sanders, who joined in 1985, Chris Leslie, lead vocals, fiddle, mandolin, since 1996, and Gerry Conway, drums and percussion, who joined in 1998.
The band are about to release a new album, Sense of Occasion.
The concert starts at 7.30pm, and tickets cost £16.
