JAMES Taylor emerged in the late 1960s and during the years he has managed to keep his distinctive voice and style.

The new album is a journey through Taylor's career and includes Fire and Rain, the record that really brought him to our attention more than 30 years ago.

Other tracks include his cover versions of Marvin Gaye's How Sweet It Is, Jimmy Jones's Handy Man, and Up on the Roof, which was an original hit for The Drifters.

One track missing, however, is Mockingbird, which Taylor recorded with his then wife Carly Simon.
