One track, Sure Don't Feel Like Love is reminiscent of the days with Art Garfunkel, while Wartime Prayers and his post 9/11 How Can You Live in the Northeast? shows his maturity and a more political outlook.

Simon has certainly discovered common ground between himself and Brian Eno, the ex-Roxy Music leader who has produced the album.
