This time, however, he has to take on more than one villain - and he discovers that all is not quite right when his suit turns black and there is a change in his personality.
Tobey Maguire once again takes on the role of the superhero with Kirsten Dunst as his girlfriend while the key villain is played by Thomas Haden Church.
Perhaps it doesn't live up to the brilliance created in Spider-Man 2, but it is adventurous and pure escapism.
