MIRABELLE (Claire Danes) has become disenchanted with her life as a sales girl in a large department store in LA. But her status as a single woman alone in the big city changes dramatically when she meets two men. One is wealthy divorcee Ray Porter (Steve Martin) and the other is a struggling musician (Jason Schwartzman) whose idea of a date is sitting outside the cinema and taking in the view and the atmosphere because he can't afford to buy tickets.
A charming and sensitive film, which has been cleverly written by Steve Martin. Although the ending is a bit predictable and the male characters a little clichéd, it is still enjoyable.
