Saffron Walden Town Hall will host to one of the great British musicals when Oliver! is performed by Saffron Walden Musical Theatre Company both youth and adult sections from November 14-17.
Lionel Bart’s adaptation of Charles Dickens’ famous novel has been delighting audiences for generations with its array of colourful characters and classic tunes. The story of the orphan Oliver Twist and his adventures features some of the most instantly recognisable of Dickens’ characters including Fagin, the Artful Dodger, Nancy, Mr Bumble and Bill Sykes.
The show is a playlist from start to finish of familiar and beloved songs including: Food, Glorious Food, Pick-a-Pocket, Reviewing the Situation and Consider Yourself.
Oliver! is being presented by Saffron Walden Musical Theatre Company Youth Group in a joint collaboration with the older society. The youth group’s recent productions include Fame, Little Shop of Horrors, Singin’ in the Rain and Evita.
