A NEW season is set to begin at the Cambridge Arts Theatre - and it is packed with drama, comedy, and much more. Starting this month is the extraordinary drama The Creeper, starring Ian Richardson. Set in the mid-1960s, it focuses on a young opportunist who tricks his way into the home of a wealthy eccentric member of the landed gentry. Full of sharp insight and witty dialogue, Mammals follows. This is a comic glimpse of the real relationships between families and friends. A new comedy, Improbable Fiction, written and directed by Alan Ayckbourn, is set to wow audiences. The Cambridge University Musical Theatre Society presents a sprightly adaptation of the all-time classic, the musical Singin' in the Rain next month. The musical extravaganza is brought alive by a vivid use of light, colour, costumes, and set. Adapted from the Charlotte Bronte novel, Jane Eyre is a heartbreaking, utterly compelling, and unique interpretation of the great novel. If it's something for all the family you're after, then Stuart Little is perfect as the tiny mouse of a huge adventure. Based on the children's novel, and following two worldwide blockbuster movies, this new stage version brings to life the story of the little mouse trying to get by in a grown-up world. For one night only, you can ask Tony Robinson just how he made his name as a stinking, turnip-loving simpleton in Blackadder. And after his stint in Celebrity Big Brother, George Galloway will be stopping by for you to ask him all those burning questions you've been wanting to know. - For details of the Cambridge Arts Theatre season visit the website at www.cambridgeartstheatre.com or call the box office on 01223 503333.
