Veteran protest singer Joan Baez is one of the headliners this year, along with Nanci Griffith, The Waterboys, Steve Earle, and Kate Rusby.
Among other artists appearing are Oysterband, Sharron Shannon, Bruce Cockburn, and Show of Hands.
A new double CD As Cool As Folk, featuring highlights of previous festivals from 1998-2006, will be on sale exclusively at this year's event.
In a bid to beat the touts, festival organisers say refunds are available on returns, if they receive them by July 6.
