A WESTERN television crew has been allowed into the Kremlin.
Until the end of the Cold War a certain mystery surrounded the building which, after all, had been the seat of Russian power for 600 years.
The documentary reveals rooms and treasures which, to the outside world, have not been seen before.
And the people who run the Kremlin such as the cleaners, electricians and soldiers reveal aspects of everyday life in a building which is still seen as one of the most power institutions in the world.
This is more history rather than politics, and being so makes it more absorbing.
