For ages, many have been saying that British sitcom is dead. But for Alan and many other comics he interviews - including Ricky Gervais, Stephen Merchant, Paul Whitehouse, Chris Langham, as well as the cast of the Peep Show and Green Wing - it hasn't died. They argue that it has just mutated into a new genre of sitcom.
