TENNESSEE Williams's compelling play, Cat On A Hot Tin Roof, will be staged at the Cambridge Arts Theatre from August 23 to September 2.
Set in the Mississippi Delta, the production exposes a family descending into a bitter inheritance contest on one of the richest cotton plantations in the Deep South.
During a family crisis many truths are revealed about human feeling, including fear of death, hidden guilt, insecurities, love of life and materialism.
Ben Hull, Lesley Harcourt, Rosemary Leach and William Gaunt play the leading roles in Williams's Pulitzer Prize-winning drama.
The play is directed by Richard Baron, who is reviving his earlier production for the Nottingham Playhouse.
Performances start at 7.45pm with matinees on Thursdays and Saturdays at 2.30pm.
Tickets are from £10-£20. Call the Box Office on 01223 503333.
