(BBC1, Saturday, 1pm) THE agony and ecstasy of the Grand National is captured in Grandstand's coverage of the running of the 159th race at Aintree. There is the hope that Hedgehunter can repeat last year's success when Ruby Walsh claimed his second Grand National win after riding Papillion to victory in 2000. In the build-up, key owners and trainers will be talking about their approach to this year's Grand National. On Friday (BBC2, 12.05am), Grand National Preview looks at the history and stories that have come out of the steeplechase. There is Bob Champion's emotional triumph on Aldaniti in 1981 and the success of 100-1 outsider Foinavon in 1967. Jockeys John Francombe and Peter Scudamore talk about the race which has seen neither enter the winner's enclosure.
