GLASTONBURY is a fine tribute to the iconic event at Worthy Farm in Somerset that has rocked the world and changed the face of music festivals.
The festival's founder Michael Eavis had concerns that Glastonbury might never again enjoy the success of previous years due to problems with licensing and security and he saw this as a chance to record the events of the last three decades. Enlisting acclaimed director Julian Temple, they appealed to anybody with footage of the festival to come forward and contribute.
More than 700 hours of film were supplied, both amateur and professional, shot over the 35 year history of the festival. Personal archive footage from festival-goers' is skilfully interwoven with stirring performances from some of the world's best loved musical acts.
The DVD also has an interactive shuffle track function which enables viewers to re-edit the feature film and create their own dream Glastonbury festival line-up.
