TED Heath's swinging sound will be brought to life by one of the leading trombone players in Europe.

Chris Dean, of the Chris Dean Big Band, will be recreating swinging sounds originally produced by the legendary bandleader when he appears at the Gordon Craig Theatre on Sunday, September 24.

The Creep, Cloudburst, The Champ and Dragnet are some of the swinging jazz tunes which will be brought back to life.

Dean was a member of the re-formed Ted Heath Band which played its final concert at London's Royal Festival Hall in December 2000 when it was under the direction of Don Lusher.

Tickets for the concert start at £16.50 and are available at the Box Office on 08700 131030 or online at www.gordon-craig.co.uk
