Award-winning Clavering Players present Aladdin at Clavering Village Hall on December 14, 15, and 16.

The show, with a cast of 24, will have a dozen children aged from seven to 13 all with speaking parts and favourite Dame, Dean Kiely, who was Dame Trott in last year’s Robin Hood.

This is the 10th panto for director Jennifer Scott-Reid whose players have won the Cambridge Drama Festival five times, taken trophies at the Welwyn Drama Festival and were runners-up at the British All-Winners Festival for amateur theatre.

The panto jokes will have local references and has new lyrics for much-loved songs. Widow Twankey will sing Let Me Do Your Laundry to Robbie Williams’ Let Me Entertain You. S
