A singer who grew up in a Cambridgeshire village has won the Critics’ Choice category at the BRIT Awards 2014.
Sam Smith, who grew up in Great Chishill, came home with the award after Britain’s biggest music awards ceremony was held in London last night (Wednesday).
The 21-year-old provided the vocals for Naughty Boy’s number one single La La La, which was nominated for the British Video category won by One Direction for Best Song Ever.
The award comes after the BBC declared him the Sound of 2014.
