WHEN John Profumo quit the Government after revelations about the so-called Christine Keeler scandal in the 1960s he vowed not to talk about the episode.
Instead, he spent the rest of his life working for a charity where he regained his respect.
His son, David Profumo, has attempted to tell the story of Profumo and his mother, the actress Valerie Hobson.
It is a personal journey, but Profumo even to his son did not give away too much of those times when he was the subject of lurid banner headlines and all sorts of Fleet Street stories.
Profumo has taken the secrets to his grave.
