ONE of Britain's best-loved comedians rides into the Gordon Craig Theatre in Stevenage next month.
Bernie Clifton and his trusty steed Oswald the Ostrich will be presenting an evening of family fun on Wednesday, August 2, at 7.45pm.
Some of the country's top variety artists will be joining them on stage for comic capers and musical madness.
Supporting acts will include Dottie Wayne, the singing comedian, tap dancer Maurice Kachuk and violinist Victoria Yellop.
Bernie has been a household favourite for more than 30 years, coming to prominence on 1970s children's favourite Crackerjack.
More recently, he has appeared as himself in BBC comedy series Love Soup and appeared in the video for Peter Kay and Tony Christie's number one hit The Way to Amarillo.
Although largely missing from television these days, he remains a firm favourite with children and adults alike.
Thanks to an engaging style and zany, visual humour he is still very much the star of the stage.
His off-the-wall antics, originality and his magnificent singing voice ensure he is a success wherever he performs.
