MORE than 300 works of art will be on show at an exhibition in Foxton this weekend.

Foxton Village School holds its autumn art exhibition, a traditional event which was resurrected in 2004.

Noleen Waring, from organisers Friends of Foxton School, said: "The art exhibition was always very successful and popular, but when the school moved to a new site it stopped for a few years.

"However, three years ago a group of people on the Friends of Foxton School committee decided to bring the exhibition back and give it new life."

Among the artists exhibiting this year is Nicholas James Juett, an art teacher from Melbourn Village College, whose oil paintings were on display during the recent Cambridge Open Studios.

Noleen said: "Several of the other artists have also exhibited at Open Studios in Cambridge and Hertfordshire. There will be work using a variety of media, including pottery, textiles, and jewellery."
