THE season starts here. Well, almost.
It is, however, an historic occasion with Arsenal playing at their new ground at Ashburton Grove - and it recognises the career of Dennis Bergkamp.
Bergkamp's reign as the Dutch master at Arsenal stretches back to the days when Bruce Rioch was boss at Highbury.
He will be playing against a side from Ajax which is said to include in the second-half such players as the legendary Johan Cruyff, Marco van Basten, now manager of the Holland national side, and ex-Arsenal player Marc Overmars.
It's one of those games when the result does not matter, but an occasion to see Bergkamp's skills which have been so much a part of Arsenal's success.
