British Lions captain Brian O'Driscoll is uncompromising in a book that looks behind the scenes of the past 12 months when he led both Ireland in the Five Nations championship and the British Lions to New Zealand.

It was during the opening Test in New Zealand that O'Driscoll was the victim of what has now become accepted as a "spear" tackle. Here he describes the consequences of the tackle and the rugby authority's attitude towards the incident.

He describes, too, Clive Woodward's running of the Lions, and the role of Alistair Campbell, the ex-No 10 communications director, who was employed on the tour to put spin on stories to the media.
