Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe - the most successful pop duo of all time - return with new album Fundamental, a darkly satirical record that still allows the duo's knack for a neat pop hook to shine through.
The album takes a sharp look at the world in 2006, sending up the relationship between Bush and Blair in lead single I'm With Stupid, and the more risqué Sodom and Gomorra show.
Fundamental is something of a return to form for Pet Shop Boys, who have been pursuing projects such as an original soundtrack for Battleship Potempkin with the Northern Sinfonia.
"I don't believe in progression," Tennant has said, and this new album will surely not disappoint the group's dedicated fans.
