IN a shocking departure from previous roles, Bruce Willis plays Mosley, a cop who is just trying to do the right thing.

A dodgy leg and a fondness for a drink every now and again make him a bit of a laughing stock to his colleagues, but things get shaken up when he is assigned one last job before he heads off home.

Mosley must pick up petty thief Eddie Bunker, played by Mos Def, and transport him to the courthouse where he is due to testify.

The pair are soon under attack from gangland thug-types, but when Mosley calls for back-up, he finds out that his corrupt colleagues want to see Bunker killed.

Mosley decides he must do the right thing and get bunker across the 16 blocks that lie between him and the courthouse in 118 minutes, or the case will be thrown out.
