YOUNG Royston basketballers have enjoyed success in the opening weeks of the National League season.
Joe Graves, Nathan Coleman, and Neil Addison, all pupils at Meridian School, were part of the Essex and Herts Leopards Under-14 team which opened their campaign with a victory at East London Royals.
The Under-16 team have won three matches in a row, and Robbie Connell, Tom Higton, and Tom Manning, also Meridian pupils, were involved in their latest win, over Worthing Thunder.
Meanwhile Charlie Graves and Nathan Wilson were instrumental as the under-18 team beat Worthing by 30 points.
Under-14s coach Terry Graves said: "All these boys are products of Royston schools and are now playing at the highest level in the county. They have also represented our local basketball club - Corvus Corvix.
