ROYSTON Cricket Club hosts its annual seven-a-side youth tournament on Sunday.
Current champions Abington, Saffron Walden, Ashwell, and Royston will contest the trophy, which is now in its sixth year.
The tournament has acted as a natural progression to the senior teams with several first and second team regulars making the step up in recent years.
Organiser and under-13 manager Mike Leary said: "It allows the players to experience the excitement similar to a Twenty20 game, but more importantly improves their awareness."
The tournament consists of a round robin group stage where the teams play one another in six over matches, with the top two teams meeting in a 12-over final.
