THE unbeaten Royston under 11 team continued their run of good form with a victory against Thriplow that further cements their place at the top of the league.

The Royston batting was the key, with both sides bowling accurately.

Josh Montague-Fuller and Ryan Headington were the top batsmen in the 43 -run victory.

Royston's under-12s followed their nine-wicket win over Foxton with another excellent home performance against Hardwick & Shepreth, winning by eight wickets.

Royston put the opposition in, and with excellent bowling from Ollie Racher (3.3-0-10-4) and Max McMclean (3-0-14-3) the visitors were bowled out in the 19th over for only 63.

Royston's openers Bonham Harper and Paul Leary (30) once again set up a comfortable victory with over four overs to spare.

Despite their best bowling performance of the season, Royston under-13s still lost to Cokenach.

Debutant Oliver Racher produced excellent figures of 4-1-7-1, and supported by the other six bowlers, kept Cokenach down to 91-9 off their 20 overs.

Royston openers Addison (7) and Annetts (7) then put on 14 for the first wicket, but three wickets in two overs stopped Royston in their tracks.

And despite a solid 17 from Adam Wright Royston fell 28 runs short of their target, managing 63-8.

Royston under-15s also suffered a defeat in a closely-fought contest with Elmdon, going down by five runs.

Batting first, Royston made 105-4 off their 20 overs, thanks to an excellent unbeaten 46 by their opening batsman Gale.

However, Royston lost their first two wickets cheaply and from there struggled to maintain the run rate.

Rory Harper continued his excellent form until he was caught for 19.

A valiant 46 not out by Adam Wright pushed Elmdon close, but Royston were unable to capitalise in the final few overs.
