Royston 61 Netherhall II 11

ROYSTON turned up to play on Sunday with the weather at its worst as the rain drenched both the courts and the players , but they did not let it get in their way as they completely outclassed their opponents.

They flew out of their blocks in the first quarter with some superb movement and shooting from Claire Target.

The balls were being fed in quickly and efficiently by Hume, Stimspon and Rooney and by the end of the first quarter Royston were leading 19-3.

The second quarter saw much of the same with some brilliant and inspiring interceptions from Rooney in centre court and Netherhall were finding it hard to get past her.

In the third quarter Royston were still pushing forward while the defence of Pinner, Laughlin and Davies fought hard to keep the ball out, and in the final quarter Royston made some changes with Target coming out to play in the shooting circle and Royston ran out comfortable winners.
