BOB Warman hit an undefeated 71 as Hatley beat Bassingbourn by nine wickets in a friendly match.

Hatley won the toss and chose to put Bassingbourn into bat.

Matt Knibbs was soon amongst the wickets, and he finished with figures of 3-19 as the Hatley attack polished off Bassingbourn for 115.

Nick Lenton and Frank Hooley both took two wickets each, while Andrews top scored for Bassingbourn with 22.

Warmen opened the Hatley reply with Randy Davenport, and steered his side to victory with 22 overs to spare.

Although Davenport was out for eight, Earl Davenport came to the crease and hit a sparkling 29.
