Vets go from losers to winners

ROYSTON Tennis Club's two vets teams played the fourth and fifth rounds of their Cambs League matches over the last couple of weekends.

The fourth round saw both teams lose 6-2 with the first team away at Gransden firsts and second team away at Histon firsts, but in a reversal of fortunes both teams won their fifth round matches 6-2.

The first team were victorious over Huntingdon firsts and the seconds won at home against Great Shelford thirds.

The vets first team was made up of Christine Knight, Ralph Betts, Pru Burton and Mike Fellingham and the club's second team players were Emma Daintrey, Kathy Betts, John Holmes and Garry Tobiss.
