ROYSTON Town Vets travelled the short distance to Therfield to take on a young Vets team.
After 20 minutes Royston found themselves 2-0 down but Matt McQueen managed to poke in a goal after his first effort could not be held and Therfield went into the break 2-1 up.
During half time manager Terry Gore made some changes and brought K Barthrop off the bench and he caused Therfield all sorts of problems in the second half.
Town hit the post twice in a dominant spell before Paul Lewis got on the end of an Adam Smith cross to bring the sides level.
Despite both teams having opportunities, neither was able to take them as the game finished 2-2.
Next week Royston are away to Cambridge Vets.
