Royston Tennis Club veteran's team of Pru Burton, Christine Knight, Mike Fellingham and Ralph Betts had a resounding 7-1 win away to Great Shelford IV team last week in their final match of the season.
There are a few more matches to be played by other clubs in Division Three, but it looks like the Royston Vets team will finish in the top four.
The Veterans' matches mark the end of the winter tennis season for the Cambridgeshire LTA league. After a short break, the summer season starts at the end of April. Royston have entered a men's team, a ladies team and two mixed teams for the summer league and there will be junior teams entered in the Hertfordshire leagues.
