DEPLETED Royston were comprehensively beaten on Saturday.
Still smarting from their defeat at the hands of Royston two weeks previously, Cambridge started in a determined mood.
Using their big forwards, they drove into the Royston team and sucked in the visitors defence, with their speedy wingers also running riot.
All four of the hosts' tries came from such play, with Royston having no answer as Cambridge grabbed two in each half.
Royston's only spell of possession came late in the game when Paul Pousland, Paul Dacey, and Colin Letch combined, with the latter going within inches of the try line.
Despite the spirited fight back, Cambridge's defence proved too strong and they ran out deserving winners.
