Royston mixed premier team will be promoted to division four after they won their divisional trophy in style. Playing their final match of the campaign against Cambridge sixths, Christine Knight, Matt Fellingham, Andy Holmes, Kathy Betts, Pru Burton, and Richard Fosbeary won with another 7-1 victory.
It was the team's fourth 7-1 victory as they maintained an unbeaten record throughout their season. The mixed first team of Mike Fellingham, Pru Burton, David Addison and Jill Birch beat the Cambridge sevenths team in their last match. However, they will have to wait until all the matches in their division have been played to find out whether they will also will be promoted.
Christine Knight said: "Royston is a club that people are really starting to take notice of and with some talented youngsters in the junior teams, the club has a bright future."
