Buntingford Cricket Club chairman George Wurr and captain Barry Walker, with the Herts & Essex League trophy after the competition's annual prize giving on Saturday.

As well as winning the top division, there were three individual awards won by Buntingford players.

The best bowling figures in Division One award was won by Richard Pearce for his 6-29 against Rickling Ramblers.

The most number of wickets taken in Division Six was won by Clive Glasscock with 32.

Fifteen-year-old Richard Townsend received the best under-18 player in Division Six trophy for his 340 runs, which included a century, and seven wicket keeping dismissals.
