ESSEX & Herts Leopards swept aside a trio of opposition last week to continue their march on the Herts & Essex Junior Central League.

The Leopards quickly saw off North Herts Knights 41-26 in the first game, with both sides playing out an entertaining first two quarters.

However, the Leopards pressure eventually told with their superior team play pulling North Herts apart as Royston youngsters Joe Graves, Nathan Crossman and Neil Addison all grabbed four points. Graves also impressed with his six assists, while Crossman made a 30-metre pass to set up Addison.

In their second game, the Leopards dismissed the attempts of North Essex with a comfortable 51-31 victory with Addison on fine form once more with eight points, seven offensive rebounds and four defensive rebounds.

As expected the first two quarters were again very tight, with the Leopards controlling the third and fourth quarters, with captain Crossman leading by example.

They moved the ball around and made North Essex work hard for space and chances in what was a highly effective team performance.

And they saved their best for last, as the Leopards impressed once more with a devastating 52-16 win over Harlow Hawks, with Crossman top scoring with eight more points.

Graves led the way in the assist chart with five, while Addison again dominated the rebounds with four offensive rebounds and four defensive rebounds, with Leopards quickly out of the blocks and racking up the points.
