AN inspirational display from Man of the Match Callum Toovey drove Royston Town Youth Colts U11s onto a 5-1 victory over Biggleswade United.
Exciting attacking play in the first half from Michael Baulk, Bruce Barnes, Lewis Anderson and Tom Fox saw the Colts take a 2-0 half-time lead with goals from the lively Matthew Bailey and a fierce free-kick from Baulk. A change of formation in the second half saw Royston dominate early on and build on their lead adding a further three goals, two from Barnes and one from the explosive Jack Hallewell. The Colts’ solid defence made up of Joe Burn, Jamie Copeland, Jamie Penn and Bradley Whale defended superbly all game, with goalkeeper Rory Hunter showing great handling throughout despite a late consolation from Biggleswade.
