Tidey wins colts prize

THE annual awards for Steeple Morden Cricket Club were presented at their annual meeting on Monday. The Frank Bailey Memorial Shield for the season s best colt was won by bowler Jack Tidey. And his younger brother Sean took the award for the best fielder

THE annual awards for Steeple Morden Cricket Club were presented at their annual meeting on Monday.

The Frank Bailey Memorial Shield for the season's best colt was won by bowler Jack Tidey.

And his younger brother Sean took the award for the best fielder for his performances behind the stumps.

Veteran spin bowler Graham Jarman picked up the bowling award, while the batting trophy was won by Max Carlton. The Most Improved Player cup went to Andy Wilson.

Bill Bailey was voted Clubman of the Year in addition to Players Player of the Year.

A special award was made to David Short, who is standing down after 11 years as secretary.
